Muy Fresco. Muy Auténtico. Muy Delicioso.

Fresh. Authentic. Delicious. That pretty much describes everything about La Fonda Alamo Heights. It all began in 1958, when La Fonda first opened its doors in the Stewart Center in Alamo Heights on Broadway and began serving the made-from-scratch TexMex cuisine that has pleased the discerning palates of generations of San Antonians.

In 2014, legendary South Texas restaurateur G. “Jim” Hasslocher acquired La Fonda Alamo Heights and moved it to its current site on Crownhill Blvd. near Broadway and Loop 410. While the location may have changed, everything else remained the same including the unique menu offerings, all prepared in La Fonda Alamo Heights’ handmade, homemade style.

On your next visit, we suggest you start with Rick's Special: queso layered with picadillo, guacamole & pico de gallo and served with tortilla chips. Then savor some fresh Ceviche del Mar, Steak Ranchero, Enchiladas Fiesta or any of our handmade enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, fresh salads, savory soups, street tacos y mucho más. Be sure to save room for our amazing flan, sopapillas, tres leches cake, or homemade pralines.

La Fonda Alamo Heights also features one of the most colorful bar scenes in town. In fact, we’re famous for our magical margaritas. What makes them so muy bien? You’ll just have to try them for yourself because we’re not giving out any secrets. Our full bar serves up premium liquors like Don Julio and Patron Tequilas, Cinco Five Star and Tito's Vodkas and other top-shelf brands. Plus, your favorite ice-cold Mexican and domestic beers. And plenty of freshly sliced lime and salt to make sure they’re properly dressed for the occasion.

Drop by soon, and see why La Fonda Alamo Heights is a San Antonio tradition not to be missed!
